CARBON MONOXIDE SENSOR (MQ7)
MQ7 Carbon Monoxide Gas Sensor Module
MQ7 Carbon Monoxide Gas Sensor Module is used to detect Carbon Monoxide (CO) concentration, it can detect CO-gas concentrations anywhere from 20 to 2000ppm. This sensor has a high sensitivity and fast response time. The module outputs a voltage from 0 to 5V relative to the CO concentration.
MQ-7 Carbon monoxide sensor as ready-to-connect module for Arduino and Raspberry Pi
The sensor has a high sensitivity and fast response time, but it takes a few minutes to give accurate readings as the sensor needs to heat up. The measured values of the sensor are output as an analog value, which can be easily evaluated with a microcontroller.
This sensor is ready for connection to a microcontroller, e.g. An Arduino board. For use with a Raspberry Pi, an AD converter is required.
Pin assignment:
- VCC power supply 5V
- GND ground connection
- AOUT - Analog output
- DOUT - Digital Output
To set the threshold, the module has a potentiometer. On the digital pin, the sensor outputs only a 0 or 1, depending on whether the set threshold value is exceeded.
Caution: The sensor is warm during operation!
Details:
- 5V operating voltage
- Digital and analog output
- 40mA current consumption
- 300-10000ppm Measuring range
Scope of Delivery:
- 1 x fully assembled module as shown
